Greening Scotland’s Economy (Promoting a Low Carbon Future)

A series of events supported by Scottish Enterprise aimed at promoting sustainable development as the engine of future economic success through:

  • improving business performance through promoting resource efficiency

  • stimulating business opportunity through:
    -identifying and disseminating knowledge about new markets
    -promoting ‘green’ procurement for efficiency and competitive advantage
    -encouraging innovation through business to business networking and collaboration
    -matching the knowledge of buyers and suppliers
    -developing supply chain knowledge and improving access for new products/suppliers

  • exploring Scotland’s potential in renewable energy markets

  • promoting Scotland as a European Centre of Excellence in sustainable development and a prime place to invest in the new green economy
